MBA will analyze the billing and collection process of your office. We will monitor the following accounts
receivable procedures to insure the maximum amount is being collected in the minimum amount of time
possible. We will then report to you, if necessary, of any problems concerning your accounts receivable.
Verification and entering of patient demographics and insurance information.
Verification of ICD-9 and CPT coding accuracy and that all procedures or services provided by the physician
were billed.
Checking that the modifiers are being used and used appropriately.
Informing you of code changes or modifications and that your encounter forms reflect the correct information.
Inspect your HCFA 1500 claim forms for missing or incorrect information as well as checking for timely submission.
Enrolling for electronic billing if necessary.
Overlook denials to check if certain problems can be modified to expedite payments and reduce your denial rate.
Review follow-up procedures on aged insurance claims and delinquent patient accounts to ensure this is being
performed in a timely manner.
Check internal control system of checks and balance where money is being handled and deposited.
Audit current fee schedule and advise of any recommended changes.
